About 162-0

162-0 is a free, independent baseball roster-drafting game: spin for an era, draft nine players — one for every spot in the lineup and rotation — and see if your roster can run the table across a full 162-game season. It's built around a real baseball fact: no team in the modern 162-game era has ever finished a regular season without a single loss. The best ever, the 2001 Seattle Mariners, won 116 games — and still lost 46. A perfect 162-0 has never happened, which is exactly what makes chasing it fun.

Why we built it

"Draft an all-time roster and chase a perfect season" is a small but genuinely popular genre. We wanted a baseball version that respects the sport's real texture: era-accurate schedule lengths (154 games before the 1961–62 expansion, 162 after), decade modifiers for the Year of the Pitcher versus the launch-angle 2010s, and a simulation tuned to baseball's run-scoring scale rather than borrowed from another sport. Every run is seeded, so the same seed always reproduces the same draft and season.
